International Real Estate Federation FIABCI

FIABCI the International Real Estate Federation, is the only worldwide real estate association that represents all of the real estate professions: brokerage, property management, development, valuation (appraisal) and consulting. FIABCI's institutional, individual and company members handle all types of real estate: residential office industrial commercial leisure rural property.

FIABCI offers a diploma and certificate program, including the FIABCI International Real Estate Certificate (FIREC). This unique international certificate is awarded to members who have exhibited excellence in their profession and who are active participants in international real estate.

Certified International Property Specialist

The Certified International Property Specialist Network (CIPS Network) is the specialty membership group for international practitioners of the National Association of REALTORS, the world's largest trade association. The CIPS Network is comprised of 2,300 real estate professionals who deal in all types of real estate, but with one common element: they are focused specifically on the "international" market. Whether traveling abroad to put deals together, assisting foreign investors, helping local buyers invest abroad, or serving an immigrant niche in local markets, CIPS members are consumers' best resource to ensure they are dealing with a professional skilled in the unique aspects of international real estate.

About International Real Estate

International real estate is one of the most dynamic branches of real estate encompassing experts from many different fields, including law, civil engineering and construction planning. Its main aims include infrastructural development and augmentation of the tourist industry.

International real estate, as it involves the purchase and sale of international residential real estate, is often limited to the "luxury" sector of the real estate market, usually defined as the top 10% of sales prices in a given market. This is because international home purchases are usually buyers' second homes, although marketshare exists in "affordable luxury" holiday homes. Within the international residential real estate sector, great emphasis is placed on property marketing.
